Sinopec News Network Reporter Zhou Bing reports: Recently, Yantai Petrochemical and Shikeyuan jointly developed the domestic diesel lubricity improver JT16-1 for low sulfur diesel production has completed industrial application test. At present, Yanshan Petrochemical has used this agent to produce 7,000 tons of Beijing Standard IV diesel. It has been tested that the improvement of lubricity of additive diesel under other similar conditions is comparable to that of imported lubricity improver, but the acidity does not increase.

According to Song Yichang, an expert of Yanshan Petrochemical Company, with the decrease of diesel sulfur content, the amount of diesel lubricity improver increased correspondingly, which increased the production cost of low sulfur diesel. The acidity of the imported agent used by Yanshan Petrochemical in the past is relatively high. With the increase of the dosage, the acidity of the additive diesel oil increases accordingly. To this end, Yanshan Petrochemical and the Institute of Stone Science and Technology jointly undertaken the Sinopec low-sulfur diesel anti-wear agent development project, based on laboratory research, developed a diesel-free lubricity improver JT16-1 without acid, and a few days ago Complete industrial application test. The product analysis results show that after adding the domestic lubricity improver, the improvement of lubricity of low-sulfur diesel is not lower than that of imported agent under the same dosage, and there is no adverse effect on other quality of diesel. This has had a positive impact on the promotion and application of domestically produced agents.

Song Yichang also introduced that the JT16-1 diesel lubricity improver developed at present has a high freezing point, and the next step will be to optimize the formulation to better meet the production requirements of low-sulfur diesel.
